Greetings
Shalom,

We have journeyed a long way in the last decade in the ministry of Shophar. The journey though was not an easy one, it was adventurous. Yes, the Lord had not promised us a comfortable journey though He promised a safe journey. A decade after, we believe we arrived where we had to, and we believe the Lord who brought us thus far, will take us further on.The vision to be ‘His watchman’ had been our vision, mission and purpose in all these years as it had been this 2013. As we look back at the many miles we crossed in 2013, more than the milestones, we are glad for the moments we left behind in the many a person we came in contact with. Read on with us and journey through the content on the site and share the joy of winning souls, spreading the gospels, medically treating many patients and being a providing people to many homeless, parentless and hopelessly lost destitute kids.Join us on the journey and feel the presence, power and His pleasure...God’s blessings to you and your family.

                                                                                                                                           - Daniel K Mylabathula

Though the idea of sho-phar (Hebrew: a cornet, as giving a clear sound) a symbol of proclamation has emerged in the recent past the seed of the same was sown in my heart on 18th March 1996 when I was seeking the Lord and His purpose in my life. I still remember the distinct voice of the Lord in my heart through His Word in     Isaiah 49:1-5

" The LORD called me; from my birth he has made mention of my name. ...He said to me, "You are my servant, .he who formed me in the womb to be his servant to bring Jacob back to him and gather Israel to himself. "The Lord further confirmed His call through His Word in     Ezekiel 33:6-7

"But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes the life of one of them, that man will be taken away because of his sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for his blood.I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel;
Ever since the call of the Lord in 1996, this has been the burden of the Lord on my heart to proclaim the Good News in season and out of season in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria and in the regions beyond.

Shophar is a clarion call to reach out to the world around us and to actively be involved in being a part of the Lord's final commission with our  time, talent and resources that God invested in us.

                                          Why Bethlehem?

 All men are born to live, but only one man in history was born to die. It is Jesus Christ. Unlike people who ascend to throne after birth, Jesus was the only person in history who was proclaimed king before birth and on His birth. However, the greatest king ever born on this earth was not born in a palace but in a manger. As an old song goes,

Long long ago as a story was told
A Man was born to be King
He had no throne nor a crown of gold
His palace was only an inn
Why such a contrast and why such a choice? Though a King, He was born in a manger; not in a palace. As a King He rode not a horse, but on a donkey. As a King He had no crown; He had a crown of thorns. He had no purpose of His own but of His Father, “to seek and save the Lost.” His greatest purpose to bridge the gap beteen Man and His Maker, between heaven and earth. He meant business with His purpose and He did everything to get to His purpose. His purpose demanded, a manger, a colt and a crown of thorns. And it all began with Bethlehem because Bethlehem was the least of the places on the landscape of the Judean hills. He wanted the least, lost and the lonely, and Bethlehem gave it.
May the simplicity and humility of Jesus be mine as I celebrate not a festival, not an anniversary but LIFE of the very Life Giver this season.
