Tribal Churches

  Solomon and his wife had been praying for a church in their remote tribal village of Kothapalem in Vishak a District since a long time. On the invitation of a Christian brother we were visiting Kothapalem in 2005 when we met Solomon and his wife. The Lord immediately knit our hearts together. Through Solomon we met Deborah a widow who is living in the same village with her son. Deborah opened her home for a Cell Group. After an year, the same Cell Group had been converted into a Sunday Worship Service where nearly 15 people attend now every Sundday.

  By the grace of God we bought a small piece of land where we intend to build a Church this year. Please pray for the work and that Shophar Ministries would be the Lord’s instrument in bringing the Lord’s kingdom in the hearts of these tribal people.

  We could also conduct a mini-crusades in Kothapalem and in Gingerthi another tribal village. A Cell Group that was running here since one year had turned into a Sunday Worship Service. Nearly 10-15 believers attend the Church.

This place needs a Church too and we are praying for the same .
