SHALOM!!!!! CHRISTMAS GREETINGS TO YOU ALL!!!!!
God has been faithful to help us, provide for us and to bless the work He has entrusted to us since the beginning of Shophar ministries. We have had a
great time on the mission field and we look back with thankful hearts as we come to the close of another year. The following is a brief report of the work that we have
done.
September - December 2008
Andhra Tribals .
Amongst the Andhra Tribals we had mini-gospel meetings at two of the churches which we have planted. Kothapalem Church was planted last year
and Gingerthi Church this year. We had special meetings at our Base for tribal missions at Nadimepalem where all of the staff and workers of the Children’s Home and
Medical Center, the Pastors and all workers where the vision of Shophar Ministries was shared and all were encouraged.
The Children’s Home and the Medical Center are now well established and going great. There are now five boys at the home and the Medical Center
regularly treats ten to fifteen local people daily from five of the surrounding villages.
JAMES 1:27 "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself
from being polluted by the world".
Telangana Missions
We organized meetings for the Churches we have in the Telangana Area. The meetings were conducted by the New Jerusalem Church Youth led by Ps
Vinay and myself. We visited the churches at Akkaldevi gudem, Annarigudem and SiriKonda. This was a time of encouraging and teaching the word of God.
ACTS 15:41 "He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches."
North India Missions
We baptized thirty-five believers in Gaya in Bihar State. We organized visits to three different villages and preached the Gospel message in each one.
The highlight of the work there was a three day mini crusade at Kujapi Village where from four to five hundred people attended every night. The result of this work was
the planting of a
Church at Kujapi village on Sunday the 23rd of November.
On the 22nd December we will have a Christmas event at Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, India where we are expecting around 300 people. Please pray
this event that we will conduct in the local community which is predominantly Hindu. There will be carols and skits, a well organized program and a message designed
to touch the hearts of the parents who will be joining the children this year. It will be an effective form of outreach building bridges to the community. Also please pray
for the wedding of one of our youth from the Andhra Tribals which will be on the 29th of January 2009.
Merry Christmas and a Blessed New year.,
Daniel K Mylabathula
P.S. In our next News Letter
we will be sharing with you the vision for 2009.
